SRIS Activities Committee
What is the Activities Committee?
It is one of the three branches of leadership at Sunrise Ridge. The other two are the Student Council and the Student Ambassadors.
As a representative of Sunrise Ridge the Leadership teams will do the following:
Participate in Student Leadership meetings and activities.
Be a positive example at school and in the community.
Attend school on time every day.
Comply with dress code.
Conduct themselves in a positive respectful manner to school, staff and students at all times.
Complete assigned tasks.
Comply with the Sunrise Ridge Student rules as outlined in the student planner.
Maintain good grades (3’s and 4’s).
May miss class for activities, service opportunities, and preparations for school events.
What activities do they do?
Student contests before school and during lunch (see before school schedule above)
Intramurals (see intramural schedule above)
Thunderstick Challenge (see before school schedule above)
Assemblies (Intramural finals and teacher vs. student contests)
The Turkey Trot (November 21, 2023)
The Food Drive (February 20-23 2023)
Help with Kindness week
Possible other activities as assigned
How do I get on the Activities Committee?
You first have to be nominated by one of the SRIS faculty members. They look for responsible and kind students who get good grades.
You must be in 7th grade
You must fill out the application that is on the link above. Applications are due on August 18, 2023
All who apply will be notified no later than August 22, 2023
When do they meet?
Members will be moved to Mr. Jenson's Homeroom class and meet in room #604 during Homeroom.
